About the 0-52861
0-52861 DC Gate Drive DCGA
The 0-52861 is a Reliance PCB component fabricated for use within Reliance drive systems. This board component may sometimes be marked as being manufactured by ABB/Asea Brown Boveri or by Baldor Reliance. The part number is the same. Changes in manufacturer name are due to changes in Reliance company structure.
The 0-52861 functions as a DC Gate Drive board. This component includes a faceplate with two screws (top and bottom) to lock the board into place within the rack system. The faceplate has one red LED indicator that is marked “D.C. Disable.” It also has a red arrow marked “Warning” and the notation of “Check frequency jumper on VSA card at left before drive is first run.” The faceplate and the circuit board portion connect to each other using three screws.
The 0-52861 board is populated by five integrated circuits. It has fifteen polyester vinyl capacitors. This includes nine small, three medium and three large capacitors. The board also has ceramic disk capacitors, ceramic capacitors, as well as several capacitors made from other materials. Resistors are both metal film and carbon composite. The board has a single bipolar transistor fitted within a heat sink along with several smaller transistors. Surface wiring is used to wire one pole of the transistor to the board. There are TP test points located across the board’s surface. The board is marked with its component number, with a grid pattern, with letters and numbers for alignment, and has a backplane connector made from conductive tabs. More information can be found through Reliance publications like manuals, data sheets, or through series user guides.
