About the 0-54200-1
0-54200-1 Remote Driver Board
The 0-54200-1, which is manufactured by Reliance Electric, is a Remote Driver PCB. This circuit board is designed to be used within Reliance drives, and while it usually carries the Reliance logo, in some rare cases the board may originate from either ABB or from Baldor-Reliance. In both these cases, the board’s part will still reflect the 54200-1 number.
The 0-54200-1 is a larger than average circuit board. Rather than having a front faceplate, this board has extractor clips inserted in each front corner. Extractor clips serve several purposes. When the board is being extracted from a rack system, the clips give technicians a lever point to pull the board out of place with. When the board is being inserted into a rack, these clips give technicians a point to hold the board at, which thus protects more delicate parts of the circuit board. The front edge of the 0-54200-1 steps down in its middle (as a reverse tab.)
The 0-54200-1 has very few components on its surface. Most of the upper right portion of the board is empty, with only a few single-pin connectors, metal film resistors, or transistors. The bottom left of the board has twenty-seven integrated circuits, TP test points, transistors, and resistors, and capacitors. It also has several instances of surface wiring. There is a large beige component and two large black components attached to the board (one marked 800756-6A.)
