About the 0-55325-11
0-55325-11 PC Overspeed Protection Board
The 0-55325-11 is a Reliance Electric Overspeed Protection Board. This board is designed by Reliance for use within their drive systems, to protect drives from situations where the actual speed of the drive has exceeded the commanded speed by approximately 20%. The board is designed to create a fault stop via the drive sequencing. Reset logic allows the board to reset automatically after a trip occurrence.
The 0-55325-11 is designed with three terminal strips. The largest of these is located along the right board edge. The other two are parallel to each other on the left side of the board. The board is populated with transformers, relays (that are surface wired to the first of the terminal strips,) potentiometers, disk capacitors, resistors, and capacitors made from various materials, including aluminum electrolytic, ceramic, and polyester vinyl. The board is marked with a grid pattern that allows users to specify components by coordinates. While reference designators are not used, many components are marked with their original manufacturer part numbers. Surface wiring connects board points to components and components to other components. The board has been drilled in each corner to allow the addition of mounting hardware like screws or stand-offs. The back surface carries imprints or markings of several codes.
