About the 0-55325-43
0-55325-43 PC Snubber Board
The 0-55325-43 functions as a PC Snubber Board within certain Reliance Electric drives. Snubbers suppress voltage spikes created by the opening of an electrical or mechanical circuit and are designed to protect electrical systems by providing a short-term alternate current path.
The 0-55325-43 is a very small board. It is a rectangular shaped board with the bottom right edge ‘snipped’ off at a forty-five-degree angle. The board is factory drilled two times along the bottom edge, and twice more above these drill holes. The drill holes along the edge are ringed in conductive material while the other two are not. The board is marked on its front surface with the manufacturer’s logo and the board ID. On its rear surface, the board is marked with the codes 8-01 and 651.
There are only three board components located on the 0-55325-43. These include a diode, a wire wound resistor, and an electrolytic capacitor. The resistor is marked CPR-10-1 Mexico 10 W 5 Ω 10% Dale 9643. This is mounted to lock-in mounting tabs. Wirewound CPR resistors function as both a fuse and a resistor. The capacitor is marked MKP1845-447/105-1 0,47μF +/- 10% 1kV. These are axial metalized polypropylene film capacitors from Vishay.
