About the 0-56966
0-56966 Reliance Control Card
The 0-56966 is a board component manufactured by Reliance for use within the company’s drive systems, most often the GV 3000.
The 0-56966 functions as a Control Card, or a Bus Control. This board is used to help facilitate the transfer/movement of data to and from the CPU board of the drive system. This is a rectangular board built without any kind of faceplate or attached hardware. The board is drilled in multiple locations, including in the corners and within the board’s body. Many of these drill holes have a wide ring of conductive material around them.
The 0-56966 has six fuses mounted in fuse holders. It has four metal oxide varistors (MOVs) located in the bottom right corner. The board has three transformers mounted in frames. It has multiple vertical pin cable connectors, ranging from small 2-pin connectors to multi-pin connectors. There is also a right-angled male pin connector located in the bottom left corner and another right-angled cable connector along the top edge.
The 0-56966 has resistors, capacitors, diodes, Zener diodes, integrated circuits, and transistors. Capacitors range from small ceramic components to a large 1.5 MFD +/-10% 1200 VDC polyester vinyl capacitor. The board also has several electrolytic capacitors and capacitors of other mediums. The board uses traditional metal film resistors, but also has many other higher-resistance components.
