About the 0-60002
0-60002 DC Power Technology Module
The 0-60002 is a DC Power Technology Module manufactured by Reliance Electric for use within the company’s drive systems. It is designed to digitize field and armature Power Module signals to be used in field current and armature regulation algorithms.
The 0-60002 plugs into the PMI rack on the right side. The module includes a faceplate and a connected circuit board. The faceplate is populated by four female connectors that are labeled Feedback, Fwd Gates, Rev Gates, and Fdbk & Gates. These connectors are 18-pin or 14-pin. The faceplate also has a single green LED indicator (OK,) and two screws to lock the board into place within the rack.
The 0-60002 is populated by two FPGAs (field programmable gate arrays) along with over twenty-five other integrated circuits. The board has inductor coils, transistors, diodes, capacitors, and resistors, along with terminal pins. There is an additional right-angled connector that plugs into the rack backplane, located on the rear board edge. Components are located on both board surfaces.
The 0-60002 has an onboard watchdog timer that is reset via the backplane by the PMI processor. The watchdog will time-out if not reset within a specific amount of time, which will cause power to the date drivers to switch off.
