0-60021-2 PMI Processor Module
The 0-60021-2 is a PMI Processor Module manufactured by Reliance Electric for use within company drives, most often the SA 3100 Motor Inverter Drive. This component most often is marked as a Reliance component. It can, however, be notated as originating from Baldor-Reliance or, more rarely, from Asea Brown Boveri. The part number remains the same.
The 0-60021-2 is designed to run the motor control algorithm and monitor drive operation. The attached front faceplate includes two green LED indicators (OK and COMM OK) and three red LED indicators (PM FLT/EXT FLT/RAIL FLT.) The faceplate has a meter port with four com links (P1,) two fiber optic communication link ports labeled XMT (P2) and RCV (P3.) and two male pin rail ports numbered zero and one. The faceplate attaches to the circuit board using multiple screw connections.
The 0-60021-2 has two inductor coils, transistors, diodes, and capacitors. There is a multi-pin right angled interface connector located along the board’s rear edge. The board has over forty integrated circuits, including oscillating chips, field programmable gate arrays, micro peripheral ICs, telecom ICs, and high-performance analog comparators, to name a few. The board uses surface wiring. There are components on both board surfaces. The rear surface is populated primarily with capacitors and resistors.
