About the 0-60021-3
0-60021-3 PMI Processor Board
The 0-60021-3 is a Reliance Electric circuit board component manufactured for use within the company’s drive systems, most often the Automate series or in comparable Allen-Bradley drives. The 0-60021-3 module is usually manufactured as a Reliance component. However, this part of Reliance Electric LTD has also been part of Baldor-Reliance and Asea Brown Boveri, so it is possible your equipment originated from those manufacturers. This module is no longer in production.
The 0-60021-3 functions as a PMI Processor Module. It includes a faceplate with two set screws to lock the module in place within a rack system. The faceplate has five LED indicators mounted in its surface. The two green LEDs are labeled OK and COMM OK. The three red indicators are labeled PM FLT, EXT FLT, and RAIL FLT. The faceplate also has a four position terminal strip labeled COM 1 through COM 4, two fiber optic ports (XMT and RCV,) and two male pin ports numbered zero and one.
The board portion of the 0-60021-3 is populated with components on both surfaces. The rear surface has resistors and capacitors and is marked with several codes. The front of the board has over forty integrated circuits including FPGAs (field programmable gate arrays,) oscillating chips, telecom chips, and analog comparators. Other components include transistors, inductor coils, and a large right-angled interface connector in the center of the rear edge. Most components are marked with a reference designator, and many also carry their original manufacturer part numbers.
