About the 0-63007
The 0-63007 Communication interface board from Reliance Electric is a board component within the FlexPak 3000 system. The board allows FlexPak3000 drives to receive or send data over a ControlNet network using a control processor. It is used to make the drive into a slave node for the ControlNet network.
The 0-63007 board includes multiple connection options including an RS-232 connector, a ribbon cable connector, an RJ-45 network access port, and two BNC connectors. BNC connectors are typically used with drop cables for ControlNet communication. The D-shell connector (RS-232) is used to program flash memory. The Network Access port gives temporary access to any products connected to the network.
The 0-63007 board is designed with its own microprocessor on board. This connects to the 0-63007’s dual-port memory.
The 0-63007 requires the user to reconfigure the drive to be used with the ControlNet network. Drive configuration is a multi-step process. Information regarding this process can be found in D2-3425-3 manual from Reliance/Rockwell.
There are multiple ways to program the drive when adding the 0-63007 board. For additional information regarding how, why and when to reconfigure the programming of the drive, please refer to original documentation from Reliance Electric. The same documents will give you additional information on Register Mapping for FLexPak 3000 drives. If you do not have access to these documents, AX Control may be able to assist you.
