About the 48680-312
The 48680-312 is a Remote Meter Interface created by Reliance Electric. This circuit board many have also sold by the manufacturers ASEA BROWN BOVERI and Baldor Reliance depending on what year it was being produced. This board has been discontinued by the manufacturers and is considered to be an obsolete part. AX Control does sell the 48680-312 as a reconditioned or new surplus part.
The 48680-312 is used as a part of the Three-Phase Input/Three-Phase Output GP2000 A-C V*S Drives created by Reliance Electric. It is a Remote Meter Interface Card. It is considered to be an optional kit for the GP2000. This card can be field installed but is typically factory-installed and has a bypass option.
The 48680-312 has the ability to monitor controller frequency by using a series of three analog interface circuits. Each of these circuits uses an active filter and an optocoupler. Each of the circuits has a 1mA, 10VDC output capacity. This card has a run relay and two output relays. The Control Signal Buffer Board connects to the 37 and 38 functions.
When configuring the wiring setup for this board, make sure you do not run them anywhere near uninsulated board components. These can be run through the control or signal conduit openings on the board.
