About the 613613-180R
613613-180R Reliance Electric Fiber-Optic Cable 180 Inch
The 613613-180R is a 180-inch fiber-optic cable fabricated and released by Reliance (aka Asea Brown Boveri/Baldor-Reliance.) This cable and others like it are often used to transmit data between Reliance modules, such as the AutoMax UDC (universal drive controller) and its PMIs (power module interfaces.) This cable uses Manchester-encoding and transmits data at 10 Mbps.
The 613613-180R has four ceramic ferrules, two per end of the cable. These are covered by cap coverings that should remain in place at all times unless the cable is being installed. The caps protect cable ends from dust. The cable is covered by a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket over a Kevlar-strength sleeve. Beneath these parts, the cable has dual wires that are individually insulated. The 613613-180R should not be used in temperatures that exceed eighty degrees Celsius.
Excessive vibration or abrasion can damage the 613613-180R. Please plan your installation away from moving equipment parts, personnel traffic, or other sources of these issues. Raceways, conduit, or wiring trays may be required for proper installation. The cable should be installed in such a way to remain easily accessible for maintenance.
For more information regarding troubleshooting or installation, please refer to Reliance publications. If these publications are not currently available to you, the team at AX Control will be happy to help you resolve this issue when you place your order.
