About the 613613-20S

Manufactured by Reliance Electric, the 613613-20S  is a twenty-meter fiber optic cable typically used to transmit data in between Reliance power module interfaces and the company’s universal drive controllers.  The 613613-20S is designed to transmit data at a rate of speed of 10 Mbps.    These components may have originally shipped under a different company name depending on the year of manufacture.  Other names include Asea Brown Boveri and Baldor Reliance.  Typically, compatibility is the same regardless of this. 

The 613613-20S  is built with fiber optic cabling connected to ST-compatible multi-mode connectors located at both ends.  The fiber optic cabling is wrapped with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) covering surrounding the Kevlar-strength underlayment.  Each of the dual fibers under this is individually insulated.  

Care should be taken to install the 613613-20S where abrasion and vibration are not present or where they will not affect the cabling.  This excludes any location where personnel traffic will be heavy or where moving parts are close by.  Installation may require conduits, raceways, or wiring trays.   The cable has a minimum bend radius of 60 MM.  This should be taken into consideration when planning your installation.
