About the BRU-200-DM-10
As a BRU-200 10-amp brushless servo motor, the BRU-200-DM-10 was made by Reliance Electric. It was also probably mass-produced by ABB or Baldor Reliance depending on its manufacturing dates. It is now considered to be a legacy series and can be a little hard to find. AX Control does strive to keep this drive in stock though. This part can also be found under the alternative part number DM-10.
The BRU-200-DM-10 is recommended for use with Electro-Craft S-series motors. These motors include the S-2003, S-3007, and the S-2005. These motors are classified as permanent magnet synchronous. The drive is used to provide power and control to its motor. It can make use of a 16-bit microprocessor. This microprocessor can use serial interfaces directly from a PC or from a programming terminal that connects to the servo drive. The drive can be plugged into a personality PCB that can manage all of the initial set-up processes and motor modifications.
The BRU-200-DM-10 has a chassis that is partially open next to its faceplate. There are air vents on the top of the chassis that allow for airflow to circulate to all of the internal components of the drive. This drive should not be installed in an outdoor atmosphere. It should be kept from liquids and corrosive substances. There is a top and bottom bracket on the chassis’ backplane that can be used to mount the drive vertically to a flat surface. Two bolts and washers should be used on the top to ensure that there is a secure mounting to the panel.
