About the BRU-200-DM-30
Reliance Electric created the BRU-200-DM-30 to be a 30HP servo drive. It may have also been sold by ABB or Reliance Electric. This drive may be also found under the model number/part number DM-30.
The BRU-200-DM-30 is a 30HP 1/Phase 50/60 Hz 120/240 VAC brushless servo drive. This drive can maintain 15 amps continuously and can peak at 30 amps. It can deliver a peak shunt rating of 4.5 kW and a 50 W continuous shunt. Its main function is to provide a motor with power and drive control. The original manufacturers suggest this drive be used with an Electro-Craft style motor in the F-series or S-series. The exact motors that they recommended are the S-4075, S-4050, F-4075, or the F-4050.
The BRU-200-DM-30 has an open chassis system to the point that the user is able to see the internal hardware next to the faceplate. The faceplate has many external components that are vital to the execution of the drive system. There is a terminal strip that can wire directly to the motor and to other I/O devices. There are LED lights that can alert the user to system issues or glow when the drive is functioning properly. There is another set of connections that are labeled P6 serial, P5 monitor, P4 encoder in, P3 encoder out, P2 I/O, and P1 communication. There is a fan assembly that is external of the chassis that is used for air circulation within the internal components. This entire setup weighs 6.8 kilograms and it should be mounted vertically to a panel or flat surface with nothing directly above or below it.
