About the DM-20
The DM-20 is a Reliance Electric created 1-Phase BRU-200 series Servo Drive. It was created to go with an Electro-Craft series motor. It could have also been produced by ABB and Baldor Reliance, but it has been since reclassified as a legacy series. It may be a little difficult to find, but AX Control does try to keep it in stock. This product may also be listed under the alternate part number 9101-1302.
The DM-20 is a brushless servo drive that is in control of providing system power and control that is typically needed to run an F-Series or S-Series Electro-Craft Motor. The user has the ability to separately purchase several suggested motors that can be paired with this drive. These motors are F-4030, S-4030, and S-3016. This drive is 120/240 VAC and has a peak amperage of 20A. It also has a continuous amp rating of 10A. This drive has a 141-340 DC bus that has the option of being 325 VDC when using a 230 VAC input. It can handle a command signal range between +/-10 VDCs and 13.3k ohms impedance. It can have a 100W +dissipative shunt max power loss. The normal power loss range is typically around ½ the maximum amount. This device has a 50W continuous shunt and a 4.5 kW peak power shunt. It weighs right around 15lbs.
There are four LED indicators on the faceplate of the DM-20. They are red and green and labeled numerically 1-4. There is a terminal strip that is located on the bottom left side of the faceplate. It has a very small green Ready LED indicator slightly below it. On the right side of the faceplate, there are six other connectors.
