The 9101-0306 drive is part of the BRU-500 Series, a line of high-performance brushless industrial drives manufactured by Reliance Electric Electro-Craft. The 9101-0306 servo drive is designed to power S-Series and F-Series permanent magnet synchronous motors. BRU-500 series drive modules are monitored and adjusted using a standard RS-232/RS-422 serial interface or direct connection to computer hosts via a multi-drop host mode communication protocol.
When the BRU-500 drives do not need a separate controller package when they are used in single-axis positioning applications due to the availability of PRO-Senes controller cards as PROSenes Controller Kits, kits that can be integrated into the BRU-500 9101-0306 drive module.
BRU-500 drive models use a Power Supply Module (PSM) that can be used to power up to six servo or spindle drive modules. These PSMs have troubleshooting diagnostics and have a self-protective feature of a built-in solid-state soft charge of the module’s DC bus capacitors, which aids in reducing AC inrush currents.
