About the 9101-0312
The 9101-0312 is a Reliance Electric BRU-500 DM-100 Brushless Servo Drive Module. It may have also been sold by ABB or Baldor Reliance at some point during its manufacturing dates. It is now a legacy series device that may be a little hard to locate. AX Control tries to keep it stocked though as a new surplus or refurbished drive.
The 9101-0312 is a 100-amp servo drive. It has a 125/375 VDC bus voltage value or a value of 325 VDCs when using 230 VAC input. This drive has the ability to grant an Electro-Craft type motor the power and control it needs to function effectively. Reliance suggests that an F-series, S-Series, or an I-Series motor be used with this drive. The specific models suggested are F-6200, F-6300, S-6200, S-8350, or an I-5300 (TEAO). TEAO means “totally enclosed air over.”
The 9101-0312 should be flat mounted to a vertical panel or backplane. Bolts and washers used on the mounting brackets should help to maintain a tight mount onto the flat surface. There should be nothing mounted directly above, below or to the side of this drive to help preserve the ambient temperatures needed to keep this drive from overheating. Make sure to only mount this drive in a dry and clean environment away from any type of liquids, combustible materials, or corrosive materials. There are a total of two circulation fans that are exposed on the bottom of the 9101-0312 that help to keep the air flowing to the internal circuitry in the drive.
