About the 9101-0387
The 9101-0387 is a DM-25 Model BRU-500 Series Brushless Servo Drive. It was designed by Reliance Electric and may have also been sold by Baldor Reliance or ABB.
The 9101-0387 has a very complex faceplate. It has a series of fifteen LED indicators. They are labeled PW ok, ok, comm ok, P.M. FLT, EXT FLT, Rail FLT, FDBK OK, RPI, MCR, aux in1, aux in2, aux in3, aux in4, aux in5, and aux out. These LEDs are red, green, and orange. They will glow when the drive is running as it should or will indicate that something is not functioning properly. Below that is a re-boot switch. There are two comm link connectors labeled P1 XMT and RVC P2. There are two rail ports that are labeled P3 and P4. There are two female D-shell connection ports that are labeled resolver feedback P5 and drive I/O P6.
There is a mounting bracket on the top and bottom of the chassis. The top bracket has three factory-drilled holes. It is advisable to use bolts and washers to ensure the drive is mounted securely. It can be mounted onto a panel or vertically onto a flat surface. This drive should not be installed in an outdoor environment. It should also not be used around corrosive or conductive materials. On the bottom of the chassis, there are two airflow fans that help to ensure that the drive has the proper amount of airflow. Just above the fans are the U, V, and W connections where the motor can be connected via cable.
