About the BRU-500-DM-25
The BRU-500-DM-25 is a BRU-500 series DM-25 model 25-amp Brushless servo. It was initially designed by Reliance Electric, but it could have also been sold by ABB or Baldor Reliance depending on its production dates. This model is now considered to be a legacy series part and might be a little difficult to locate. AX Control does make every attempt to keep it in stock. Please refer to our website for more information on its availability.
The BRU-500-DM-25 is 170/340 VDC, 120/240 VAC, and 50/60 Hz. This drive has a 5 kA short circuit rating. It can maintain a 25A peak amperage and a 20A continuous amperage. With a command signal input range of 13.3K ohms impedance, it can keep +/-10 VDCs. It has a maximum power loss of 120 watts. The main purpose of this drive is to deliver power and some control over an Electro-Craft motor. The suggested motors for this drive are a part of the S-series and the F-series. They are specifically the F-4030, S-3016, S-3007, and the S-4030.
The BRU-500-DM-25 has two installation brackets mounted on the top side and bottom side of its chassis. The top bracket has three factory-drilled holes in it. It ought to be positioned on a flat surface similar to a panel or an enclosure backplate. It should only be operated and installed in an indoor space. Be sure to keep it away from liquids, corrosive materials, or combustible particles.
The chassis of the BRU-500-DM-25 doesn’t have a lot of external components on its faceplate. There is a series of 4 LED indicators and 6 connectors. There are also two airflow fans on the bottom of the chassis that helps air get to the internal circuitry.
