The BRU-500-DM-50 is a Reliance Electric DM-50 model BRU-500 series 50 Ampere Brushless Servo Drive. This servo drive may well have been offered under the ABB and/or Baldor Reliance production lines. It is now a legacy series component and may be a little hard to find now. AX Control does attempt to keep it stocked though. 

The BRU-500-DM-50 is a 3-Phase 50 amp 50/60Hz 120/240 VAC and 170/340 VDC brushless servo amplifier. This servo drive has a peak amp and continuous amps of 40A and 50A respectively. It can sustain bus voltage of 125/375 VDC (325 VDC if utilizing a 230 VAC input). This drive has a total watt loss of 180 watts. Its purpose is to be able to provide control and power to its connected motor. There are several Electro-Craft type motors that are recommended for this drive. They are part of the S-series and the F-series. They are the S-6100, S-4075, S-4050, F-6100, F-4075, and the F-4050.

The chassis that surrounds the BRU-500-DM-50 should be mounted upright onto an exceptionally flat surface like a panel or backplate of a large enclosure. Nothing should be mounted directly above or below this drive to ensure that proper circulation is maintained to the drive. There are two fans on the bottom of the chassis that help it to maintain proper air circulation. It should not function in an outdoor environment and should not be around liquids or corrosive substances. This drive weighs right around 11 kg.
