About the PSM-125ES
The PSM-125ES is an AutoMax SA-500 series Power Supply Module that was originally meant to be paired with BRU-500 servo drives and motors. It was initially designed by Reliance Electric although it may have also been offered through ABB or Baldor Reliance.
The PSM-125ES is a replacement module for a power supply in a BRU-500 series motor and drive assembly. It can produce enough power to facilitate up to six drive modules. This module does not need to be altered in any way. It has the ability to protect itself and provide comprehensive diagnostics. It has a total input voltage range between 120/240 VAC and a typical 50/60 Hz frequency input. It has a 170/340 VAC output voltage and an output frequency range of 0-400 Hz. It can maintain a 100-amp bus. This device is 3-Phase.
The PSM-125ES does not have many components on its faceplate. It has a total of four LED indicators that have been labeled PSM ready, disabled, overtemp, and phase loss. All of these LEDs are red with the exception of the PSM ready LED which is green. There is a very small terminal strip that is located just below the LEDs that have been labeled TB1. There is a double fan assembly that is on the module’s base. When the enclosure cover is removed, the user can access the negative, ground, and positive wiring just above the fan assemblies. In the middle of these wires are the ports labeled L3, L2, and L1 that feeds into the AC line filter assembly.
