About the 9106-0002

The 9106-0002 is a Reliance Electric Electro-Craft series of Brushless Servo Amplifier Drives. This is the 30-amp version of this amplifier. It may have been sold under the ABB and/or Baldor Reliance production lines, but it has since been deemed a legacy series. This series of parts may be a little hard to find now, but AX Control tries to keep them in stock. This component can also be found under the alternative part number BSA-30.

The 9106-0002 has a lot of features on its faceplate. At the top of the faceplate is an orange terminal strip. This terminal strip has seven wire connections that are divided into two groups. The first group is the Power group that has the L1, L2, and GND connections on it. The second group is the Motor group that has the R, S, T, and GND connections on it. Below the terminal strip is a small bank of four LEDs. These are labeled Logic P/S, LED 1, LED 2, and LED 3. These LEDs will glow in different patterns so the user can know what defects are detected within the system. There is a chart on the left side of the device that shows what each of these patterns represents. Below the LED indicators is another series of nine wire connections that are broken up into two different types. Below that are three RS-232 connectors. These are the P1-P3 connectors. P1 is a female controller connector, P2 is a male Encoder Out connector, and P3 is male Encoder In connector.
