About the BSA-15
The BSA-15 is a Reliance Electric designed Electro-Craft BSA Series Brushless Servo Amplifier. Baldor Reliance and ABB may have also sold this amplifier depending on its production dates. This model might also be found under the alternate part numbers 9106-0001 or 9106-0081.
The BSA-15 has an input rating of 120 VAC, single-phase, and 50/60 Hz. It has an output rating of 120 VAC and 0-400 Hz.
The BSA-15 has a faceplate that has many different features. There is a small orange terminal strip that has 6 connections. These connections are broken up into two groups labeled Power and Motor. The terminals in the Power section are labeled L1, L2, and Ground. The terminals in the Motor section are labeled R, S, and T. Just below that is a label that reads Vertical. Below that are three red and one green LED. These are labeled Logic P/S, LED 1, LED 2, and LED 3. Under the LEDs are two groups of wire connections. The first group is labeled Offset, VCS, TACH, Compensation, l RMS, l Limit. The second set is labeled MCO, MVO, and COM. It has three RS-232 connections. There is one 28-pin female controller connection. There is also one 9-pin and one 26-pin male connection. The 9-pin connection is the P2 encoder out connection and the 26-pin is for the P3 encoder in connection. There are also air vents on the top and bottom of this servo amplifier that are meant to help ensure air can flow in and out of the internal circuitry.
