Product Description

The BSA-30 is a 30 Amp Brushless Servo Amplifier produced by Reliance Electric. This drive may have also been sold by Baldor Reliance and/or ABB at one point, but it is not being supported by any of these companies anymore.  Although this part may have become hard to find, AX Control does make an attempt to keep it in stock as a refurbished or new surplus item.

The BSA-30 is 120 VAC and 50/60 Hz. It has a shunt power between 50 to 1000 watts. It has an input voltage of 108-132 VAC RMS. It is single-phase and has an internal DC bus rating of 152-187 VDC or 170 VDC with an input of 120 VAC. It can maintain a constant drive current of 10 A and a peak drive current of 30 A. It has a VCS input impedance of 22 K ohms. It can be used in environments with 5-95% humidity and an ambient temperature of 0 to +50 degrees Celsius. The BSA-30 can be paired with the following motors: F-4030, S-4030, LD-4012, S-3016, or a LD-3009 motor. These motors range from 2000-4500 RPMs.

The BSA-30 should be installed onto a flat surface like a back wall or panel. It needs to be in a clean environment that does not have any corrosive or combustible materials. This series of equipment does not have any internal or external fan assemblies, so it is important to make sure that it is mounted vertically and that proper spacing around the devices is maintained.  Only a qualified expert should attempt to set up the BSA-30.
