The 100FN2031 is a non-regenerative controller which belongs to the FlexPak 3000 series by Reliance Electric. This controller has a horsepower rating of 100 HP and has a voltage rating of 230 VAC. It is U/L and U/LC listed. Because this drive employs a non-regenerative power unit, the user may utilize a quadrature pulse tachometer in single-quadrant motor applications. The user should also use a single-channel differential output pulse encoder. The 100FN2031 should be installed into a chassis. Please note, the 100FN2031 does not require an armature fuse. Only regenerative drives require armature fuses. This drive is compatible with the AC Tachometer kit in the FlexPak 3000 line.
When installing the 100FN2031, it is important to maintain a 12-inch (305mm) clearance above and below the controller. Additionally, there should be a 4-inch (102mm) clearing to the right and left of the 100FN2031. Ensuring these clearance distances allows for proper ventilation and therefore the operation of the controller. Before installing the 100FN2031, ensure the motor is compatible with this controller. Please use the appropriate safety precautions when installing the 100FN2031. Do not install the controller when power is applied to the system. Double check all wiring to ensure it has been completed correctly. This controller will only allow the motor shaft to rotate in a forward direction. If your application requires that the motor shaft rotates in reverse, you must use a regenerative drive or a reversing contactor kit.
