About the 150FN4042
The 150FN4042 is a 150 HP Non-Regenerative FlexPak 3000 Drive. It was initially created by Reliance Electric and then eventually possibly sold by ABB and/or Baldor Reliance. None of these companies still offer any support for the 150FN4042, but AX Control tries to keep it stocked.
The 150FN4042 is a 460 V drive that has an input current of 213 amps RMS, an armature current of 250 DC amps, and a field current of 15 DC amps. This drive is 490 mm tall, 460 mm wide, and 351 mm thick. It weighs right around 107 lbs.
On the back of the 150FN4042, there are a total of six factory-drilled bolt holes that can be used to secure the drive to its mounting surface. When replacing this module be sure to label any wires that are not already labeled to help ensure the new 150FN4042 can be easily installed. There are three semiconductors that are attached to the side of the drive and wiring. Just above the semiconductors is a large on/off switch. The faceplate of the drive has a user interface that is equipped with an LCD monitor and a keypad with 11 rectangular keys and 4 up/down/left/right arrow keys. There are two external fan assemblies on the bottom of the drive that helps to force air to the internal circuits within the drive.
Only a qualified electrician should attempt to install and maintain the 150FN4042. For more information about the 150FN4042 and other FlexPak 3000 drives, please consult the product manuals provided by Reliance.
