About the 1FN2042

1FN2042 is a 1.5 horsepower rated drive that is manufactured by Reliance Electric as part of the FlexPak 3000 drive series. The rated field current is 10, the full load RMS AC line current is 10, and the full load rated DC armature current is 7. This non-regenerative DC drive is 50/60 Hz. The dimensions are 270.5 mm x 477.3 mm x 224.9 mm x 463 mm x 310.6 mm (depth). The weight is 26.4 kg. If the Running LED indicator is on, the contactor is closed and the motor armature is energized. If the current limit indicator is on, the motor is operating in current limit. Two LED indicators are located on the regulator board for status and service use: (LED1) CPU OK and (LED2) OIM COMM OK.

There are two categories of OIM keys. The OIM programming keys provide the ability to tune the drive, scale inputs and outputs, save user configurations, set drive limits, access fault or alarm logs, and monitor several drive signals. Drive control keys provide the user with the ability to select the control source (keypad or terminal block), start the drive, jog the drive, and manually change the speed for the drive. These keys can also be used to exclusively control the motor.

In order to install the drive in a cabinet, maintain minimum clearances between drives in order to allow for adequate ventilation. Leave 12 inches of space between the top of one controller and the bottom of another, or the top/bottom of the cabinet. Leave at least 4 inches of space on the sides of the drives.
