Product Description

200FN4042 is a motor drive that is part of the FlexPak 3000 series, distributed by Reliance Electric. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a wide variety of DC motors. The drive operates with an input of 460 VAC. It is a regenerative drive which has the feature of an inverting fault breaker. It has a power output of 200 HP. The maximum allowable A-C Fault Current (RMS) for this drive is 100000 Amperes. The drive has an 88% typical displacement power factor at rated load and speed, however, this can depend on the operating speed and frame size of the drive.

When installing the drive, there are certain parameters that much be considered to ensure safe grounding. The drive has two separate ground points which must be identified and used on the drive. The drive should be grounded at both points to the same grounding electrode as the AC power input. When tightening the chassis ground, one should ensure the appropriate torque is used. If 14 – 10 GA Wire is used, 3.95 Nm is applied. For 8 GA Wire, 4.52 Nm is applied. Finally, if 6 – 4 GA Wire is used, apply 5.08 Nm.

The drive uses tachometer feedback to ensure that appropriate motor speed is achieved. Tachometer voltage range is determined on the J14 Jumper and the voltage scale on the J11 jumper. To configure the tachometer voltage range, the drive uses the parameters for TOP SPEED and ANLG TACH VOLTS/1000 entered by the user in the “Quick Start” procedures specified in the manual.
