30FN4032 is a 30 horsepower non-regenerative drive manufactured by Reliance Electric as a part of their FlexPak 3000 series. This drive has a 460 VAC and can be converted into a 230 VAC with the 916FK0100 conversion kit. After conversion, the horsepower will be cut in half to 15 HP. The software version number is 3 and the drive is UL listed. The ambient temperature for this drive has to be 0 to 55° C and the relative non-condensing humidity has to be above 5% and under 95%. The user must have professional knowledge of the equipment before attempting to service the drive.
The user must install the recommended A-C line and D-C armature fuses. An optional transformer may also be installed. Input transformers step up or step down input voltage and can be either auto or isolation transformer types. Users should consider using an isolation transformer in lieu of an autotransformer because it minimized AC power line disturbances and transients and provides electrical isolation for the drive from power system grounds. Damaging currents may be avoided in instances where the D-C output is accidentally grounded or where the D-C motor circuits are grounded. An input disconnect must be installed in the incoming power line according to the NEC/CEC if not provided with the drive. The disconnect switch should be within clear view of the machine operator and the maintenance personnel for easy access and safety. An open-type switch with provisions for a padlock is recommended.If an isolation transformer is used, wire the input disconnect in its primary circuit.
