Product Description

30FR4031 is a 30 horsepower regenerative drive manufactured by Reliance Electric as a part of their FlexPak 3000 series. This drive has a 460 VAC and can be converted into a 230 VAC with the 916FK0100 conversion kit. After conversion, the horsepower will be cut in half to 15 HP. The software version number is 3 and the drive is UL listed.

The D-C motor must be wired to the drive by first sizing the motor armature circuit conductors for the specific drive rating and according to applicable codes. The user must use copper wire rated 60/70° or higher. Locate the D-C motor armature and field supply leads on the drive and tighten armature and field connections. The field torque for all drives at all horsepower ratings is 9 lb-in. Motor overload thermal protection can be established by the DC motor thermostat. If the circuit between CTB-13 and CTB-14 is not made, the drive will not start. The COAST/STOP digital input must also be wired, along with optional user devices. Do not route signal wiring with power wiring in the same conduit; this may cause interference with drive operation. Route signal and power wiring in a separate conduit.

User devices available for the FlexPak 3000 drives include the NO FAULT indicator, the ALARM indicator, the RUNNING indicator, AOUT1 and AOUT2 metering, the analog TACHOMETER, the AUTO REFERENCE, the SPEED REFERENCE POTENTIOMETER, the MOTOR THERMOSTAT, BRUSH WEAR, FAULT/ALARM RESET, INTERLOCK, AUTO/MAN, REV/FWD, JOG, STOP, and RUN.
