About the 3FN2042
The 3FN2042 is a Reliance Electric 3 HP Non-Regenerative FlexPak 3000 Digital DC Drive.
The 3FN2042 is 230 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and has a 13 amp full load RMS AC line current. It can have a maximum load of 150% for 1 minute or 200% for 5 seconds. It has an AC line frequency of 48/62 Hz. The efficiency of the drive, when including the motor, is 87%. A maximum of three of these drives can be on the same transformer at one time. It has a semi-conductor fuse protection. It has a quick start menu that has the ability to adjust the jog speed (including the rate of acceleration and deceleration), linear deceleration, current limits, I/R compensation rates, and the minimum and maximum speeds for the motor. This drive also features power selection with power conversion that is full-wave and full control.
The 3FN2042 comes standard in a chassis-style enclosure, although there is a kit that can turn this chassis into a NEMA 1 rated enclosure. This drive is 18.79” tall, 10.65” wide, 12.23” thick and 58 lbs. This chassis should only be installed in environments that are between +32 to +104 degrees Fahrenheit with 5-95% humidity.
The 3FN2042 has a user interface that has an LCD display with a 15 button keypad. The display can show text in the following languages: Italian, Spanish, German, English, French, and alphanumeric code. There are LCD indicators that display the status of the drive. These indicate drive faults, the current/ torque limit, the drive is ready, there is a drive alarm, the drive is running, or the interlocks are okay. The user interface can also perform extensive diagnostics and can display the corrective measures that can be taken to make corrections to those detected faults.
