The 40FR4032 is a 40 HP 460 VAC FlexPak 3000 Drive made by Reliance Electric. It may have also been sold by ABB or Baldor Reliance.
The 40FR4032 is classified as a regenerative drive. It has a 63 amp full load rated RMS AC line current and a DC line current of 73 amps. It has a rated field current of 15 amps. It has a line voltage variation of +/-10%. It has a 48/62 Hz AC line frequency. This drive weighs 26.4 kg and is 500 mm tall, 270 mm wide, and 281.2 mm thick.
Some of the basic features of the 40FR4032 include an AC line disconnect that is located in the top right side of the drive, AC line fuses that are located to the left of the disconnect, a fused blower motor starter that is in the top left corner, an operator interface module (OIM) located in the center of the drive, an internal terminal strip that can be used for I/O, a surface mounted regulator board, and an enhanced field supply. It also boasts a compact chassis design. The OIM or keypad/display is vital to the user being able to start the drive, monitor its status, and control its functions. It has an easy to read LCD screen.
The 40FR4032 should be only kept in an area that is totally free from liquids, dust, extreme temperatures, corrosive and combustible materials, caustic vapors, shock or vibration, and electrical or electromagnetic noise interference. This chassis should be mounted vertically onto a metallic flat surface like a panel.
