The 50FN4042 DC drive is a non-regenerative, three-phase drive that is able to switch between the input rating of 230 VAC and the input rating of 460 VAC. When operating at 230 VAC, the 50FN4042 DC drive will have a horsepower rating of 25 HP, a current amperage at rated field of 15 A, a full load current amperage at rated DC armature of 93 A, and a current amperage at full load RMS AC line of 80 A. When the 50FN4042 DC drive is operating at 460 VAC, on the other hand, it will have a horsepower rating of 50 HP, a rated field current amperage of 15 A, a full load rated DC armature current amperage of 86 A, and a full load RMS AC line current amperage of 74 A.
Like all of the other DC drives in the FlexPak 3000 series, the 50FN4042 model has an operator interface module, or an OIM, which is made up of a keypad and an LCD display. However, the 50FN4042 DC drive can be controlled using either the OIM or a remote control station that is mounted nearby.
