About the 7FR2042
The 7FR2042 is a FlexPak 3000 regenerative drive controller that is manufactured by Reliance Electric as part of the FlexPak 3000 Drive series. The input voltage is 230 VAC and the enclosure is a chassis. The operator’s speed adjustment is 0 to the rated speed. The specification range is 100:1 based on the top speed and the tachometer. The efficiency of the controller alone is 98.6% of the rated load and speed. The efficiency of the controller and motor is 85% typical. The displacement power factor is 88% typical. The LCD indicators on the controller include Fault, Alarm, Interlock OK, Drive Ready, Running, Current Limit/Torque Limit. The LED indicators are (LED 1) CPU OK and (LED 2) OIM COMM OK. The OIM programming keys and the drive control keys allow the user to program the drive.
Reference signals should be wired with twisted double/triple conductor wire, 2 twists per inch, stranded copper, AWG No. 16, 600 VAC rated, poly-vinyl chloride insulation, with a temperature range of 40-105°C. Do not run signal wires parallel with electrically noisy conductors or high voltage. Always cross these conductors at 90 degrees. 1000 feet is the maximum recommended wire length from the motor to the controller. Wiring the drive requires locating the provided ground point and running a suitable equipment grounding conductor unbroken from the controller ground point to the plant ground. Install a ring lug at the ground point. A suitable grounding conductor must be connected from the controller ground point to each conduit. A grounding conductor must also be connected to the controller enclosure, the transformer enclosure, and the motor frame. Connect GND wire to the ground point.
