About the 802273-14R
The 802273-14R module is an operator interface module, which is often shortened to simply OIM, that was produced by Reliance Electric to be used in conjunction with the FlexPak 3000 drives. The 802273-14R OIM is no longer being produced by Reliance Electric, but you may still be able to find the 802273-14R OIM inside of the stock here at AX Control.
The 802273-14R OIM is a small, square-shaped device. At the top of the 802273-14R OIM, you will see the LCD display. This display has the shape of a long rectangle. To the right of this display, you will find a white label with black text that details the different pieces of information and functions that the LCD display will show the operator. These labels are listed here as follows from top to bottom: “Fault,” “Alarm,” “Interlock OK,” “Drive Ready,” Running,” “Current Limit,” and “Torque Limit.”
Looking below the 802273-14R OIM’s LCD display and its label, you will find the keypad. The keypad is extensive. It has a total of fifteen buttons that are used to input information into the LCD display and to control the functions of the drive with which the OIM is connected. For example, you can press the “JOG” button to begin the JOG function on the connected drive or you can use the four directional buttons to control the LCD display.
The 802273-14R OIM is meant to be installed to the very front of a FlexPak 3000 drive. Most drives come equipped with a 802273-14R OIM already on its faceplate, but this unit can be used as a replacement unit.
