About the 901FK0201
The AC Line Disconnect Kit 901FK0201 is an expansion for the FlexPak 3000 Digital DC Drive. This optional Disconnect Kit comes with a mounting hardware, wire assemblies, and a line disconnect switch both for mounting in a NEMA 1 enclosure and for chassis mounting. The Disconnect Kit 901FK0201 acts as a positive disconnect of all AC input heads for the FlexPak 3000 Digital DC Drive. It is recommended to use less than 85% of the rated amps for the disconnect kit, in order to adhere to NEC codes. The Disconnect Kit 901FK0201 is applicable to drives of 30 HP at 230 VAC.
The Disconnect Kit can either be installed along with an enclosure or without. If installing without a NEMA 1 enclosure, cut off the input AC power line connection to the drive’s terminal block as shown in the instruction manual (Figure 2A). The wire that connects the terminal block in figure 2A needs to be removed. Next, remove the screws gripping the terminal block in place and remove the terminal block. To install the AC Line Disconnect Kit, first position a standoff bracket on the drive’s molded fuse block and install it using the screws (four M4 x 12 screws) as shown in figure 3B of the user manual. Install the remaining standoff bracket using the same method. Between the AC Line Disconnect terminals 181, 182, and 183, attach the wire assemblies that correspond with the line fuse terminals.
