The FlexPak 3000 Digital DC Drive can be further controlled using an AC Line Disconnect Kit 901FK1101. The optional kit comes with wire assemblies, a line disconnect switch (used for mounting in either a NEMA 1 enclosure or chassis), and a mounting hardware. To satisfy NEC codes, it is advised to not use more than 85% of the rated amps of the disconnect kit. The kit operates as a positive disconnect for all AC input leads for the FlexPak 3000 drives. The Disconnect Kit 901FK1101 is for drives rated at 40 to 60 / 75 to 125 HP at 230 / 460 VAC at a current rating of 250 Amp.
If using a NEMA 1 enclosure, a mounting bracket is provided to allow for through-door operation of the circuit breaker. The kit also comes with a locking bracket to avoid accidental switch operation.The breaker comes with a little yellow test button that can be used to check its mechanical operation. The button makes the breaker trip open promptly. The test button is usually at the lower left or right front of the circuit breaker. There is no way to access the button if the disconnect kit is installed in a NEMA 1 enclosure. Do not attempt to install this kit unless you have what constitutes as professional knowledge of the equipment.
