912FK0300 is a Dynamic Braking Kit for 230 VAC FlexPak 3000 Digital DC Drives without NEMA 1 enclosures that are manufactured by Reliance Electric. The associated drive horsepower for this kit is 30 HP. This kit includes a contactor, a suppressor, a resistor assembly, and an enclosure. 490 is the VA inrush. 35 is the VA hold. 52 A / 500 VDC is the motor armature amps/VDC. Energy is absorbed by the dynamic braking resistor when the drive motor is decelerating, and while this is happening, the temperature of the resistor increases. Even when there is a drive failure, dynamic braking still works to decelerate the drive motor, as long as there is still motor field excitation.
