923FK0201 is an Enhanced Field Supply kit that is manufactured by Reliance Electric as an optional addition to FlexPak 3000 drives. This kit has a current rating of 20 and includes one instruction manual, D2-3413-1, four fuse rating labels, one enhanced field supply board, and three field input fuses (25 A, 600 V). Two versions of this kit are available based on the current rating. For this version, the applicable 230 VAC drives can have 20-300 horsepower ratings, and the applicable 460 VAC drives can have 40-600 horsepower ratings. This modification kit replaces the standard field supply or field current regulator. Motor field weakening is not possible with this kit.
The 923FK0201 kit provides an electronic field trim, a field economy, and the capability to provide 240 VDC field supply with 230 VAC input. To install the Enhanced Field Supply kit on 3.0 HP to 60 HP @ 460 VAC drives, the user must first remove the OIM cover and open the carrier. Since the drive contains printed circuit boards that are static sensitive, an anti-static wristband should be worn by any person who touches the drive’s components, connectors, or leads.
Before the 923FK0201 kit can be installed, make sure that all of the power to the drive is disconnected. Failure to adhere to this precaution may result in bodily injury, electrical damage, and potential loss of life in extreme cases. The standard field supply board must be located and removed from the drive. The user must then adjust the jumpers on the enhanced field supply board and the regulator board. Once this is complete, install the enhanced field supply board.
