14C103 is a Non-Regenerative Controller in Reliance Electric’s FlexPak Plus series. This particular controller comes complete with an auxiliary panel.
The service factor of application data for this controller is 1.0, and the horse power is rated between 2 and 3. The AC input drive is rated 230 volts. Because of the horse power and AC input drive ratings, the rated A-C line ranges from 14.0 to 21.0 amps, and the input KVA is 3.22-4.83. The D-C armature for 14C103U is 180 volts and the rated armature current is between 10.0 and 15.0 amperes. The A-C frequency falls between 48 and 62 Hz.
This controller has full wave and full control conversion. When mounting the drive controllers, always leave 2 inches of space at the top, bottom, and sides of the controllers. Mount the equipment on a vertical surface to allow for proper circulation through the heat sink. Never place a controller in a corner during setup configuration. A controller placed in a corner will overheat. This controller is power-matched with reliance D-C motors for optimum performance. The power cubes that contain the power semiconductors are easy to replace if necessary.
14C103U has an auxiliary panel which provides fused A-C line protection. Power is disconnected to the drive motor by the motor armature contactor. If the user needs to measure controller and regulator signal voltages with a voltmeter, the Test Meter Adapter kit is an available plug-in for non-regenerative controllers. If the user requires automatic reverse-direction capability, the Automatic reversing kit is also an available plug-in. For applications where an interconnection with external signaling devices is required, the user may purchase the Auxiliary Contact kit for this controller.
