About the 14C108U
Reliance Electric manufactures 14C108U. This part is a Regenerative controller with an auxiliary panel and is included in the FlexPak Plus series.
14C108U has an available field voltage of 200 volts, a horsepower range of 2 to 3, and an AC input drive rating of 230. The D-C armature is 180, the rated armature current falls between 10.0 and 15.0 amperes, and the available field current is 3.0 amperes. This controller has an input KVA between 3.22 and 4.82.
Remember to wire the speed reference circuit before attempting start-up of the controller. There are many settings for the user to adjust to their prefered specifications, including speed, acceleration, deceleration, IR drop compensation, and current limit. When you install the chassis vertically, you must leave 2 inches of space and the top, bottom, and sides of each drive.
The dimensions of this FlexPak Plus Regenerative Controller are 11.97” (305mm) x 7.93” (201mm) x 8.37” (213mm). The auxiliary panel piece of this controller is 4.75” (111mm) x 8.37” (213mm). The basic controller is 7.22” (184mm) x 8.37” (213mm). Regenerative controllers are larger than non-regenerative controllers in this series.
Apply the Tachometer Feedback kit to this controller in order to run applications that require accuracy of speed regulation to 0.5% with a 95% load change on the specified tachometer. Another optional modification to this drive controller is the Voltage Follower kit, which allows the drive to follow an external D-C voltage signal.
