About the 14C68
14C68 is a full wave power converter. It is a Reliance Electric Rockwell FlexPak Plus 5HP DC ¼ HP to 5HP drive. It doesn’t contain any kind of back rectifier. It is complete with an analog current minor loop and an analog major loop for armature voltage or speed regulation by tachometer feedback. In the front cover of the device, there is a nameplate which has the model and the serial number of the device, along with the input and output data.
* A basic chassis controller without auxiliary panel includes a power converter, field supply and regulator. This auxiliary panel, which includes the A-C power fuses and armature loop contactor, is not included when these specific components are supplied by a third party.
* A complete chassis controller with auxiliary panel includes the power converter, field supply and regulator. The auxiliary panel includes the A-C power fuses and armature loop contactor. This set-up is a complete package drive and it is described in detail in the manual which is provided with the 14C68 model.
Reliance also offers a wide range of modification kits which expand the application range of this basic controller. All these kits are pre-engineered and plug into specific circuits of the basic controller panel. Kit model numbers and specifications are also given in the user manual. This controller is fully tested with AFI system, and Reliance offers a 12-month warranty. The manual provides simple and easy steps to install this device. However, only qualified electrical personnel familiar with the construction and operation of this equipment and the hazards involved should install, adjust, operate and service this specific equipment.
