Reliance Electric manufactures Power Module 802220-16VE, which is part of their FlexPak Plus series.
802220-16VE is enclosed inside of a chassis and runs at 50/60 Hz. This Power Module is rated 100 in Horse Power and has a Short Circuit SYM rating of 25,000 amps. The AC Input is 460 VAC with 160 maximum amps. The DC Output is 500 VDC with 170 maximum amps. The DC Field for this part is 300 volts with 15 maximum amps. Follow manual instructions for mounting and wiring the Power Module.
Power Module failure because of an inverting fault is prevented by a circuit breaker in all FlexPak Plus DC drives.
Consider the energy dissipation of all components when designing the enclosure ventilating system or when sizing a non-ventilated enclosure in which the Power Module is to be mounted. Maximum temperature within the enclosure must remain at or below 131°F. Violation of proper storage and management guidelines will result in voiding of the warranty. Remember to conform to the electrical code and follow any and all manual warnings regarding electrical risk to both the operator and the equipment.
Important: All phases of the A-C power line must be disconnected from the power module before it is safe to touch any internal parts of the equipment. Also, the armature loop contactor is not provided standard in the Power Module. The user must install an armature loop contactor that has a 115 volt A-C coil with a maximum current draw of 440 milliamperes.
