About the 1AC4003U

The 1AC4003-U First Generation Three Phase AC VS Drive Controller has 460 VAC, 3 HP, a blank chassis, and is UL Listed/CSA approved. A Local Operator’s Control Station can be found on the front of the cabinet on the controller.

Two LEDs can be found on the front cabinet of the Local Operator’s Control Station of the Three Phase AC VS Drive 1AC4003-U controller. These LEDs enable the user to know the status of the drive: (RUN) and fault condition (IET).

The Controller has some features which include a hybrid-based regulator and a NEMA type 1 standard enclosure. It operates with standard off-the-shelf NEMA B and synchronous motors. It also has a torque boost for increased starting torque, a separated start/stop and function loss circuitry, and an IET on high DC bus voltage, high motor current, high or low input AC line, phase loss, low regulator power supply voltage, or function loss input. It also has a variable torque V/Hz curve selection.

Besides those features, the Three Phase AC VS Drive 1AC4003-U can also be used with a dynamic braking kit. The dynamic braking kit allows the drive motor to do rapid braking by giving 150% intermittent braking of the motor. The dynamic braking kit depletes the power regeneration by the motor during slowing down of power using a resistor.
