The 0-56921-401AA is a Reliance Electric Regulator PCB that was made for a GV3000 AC Power Module. Asea Brown Boveri and/or Baldor Reliance may have also sold this board at one point. This was the fourth version of this regulator created. Because there have been newer versions of this board put into production, this board is no longer receiving support from these companies. Even though this board has become harder to find, AX Control still attempts to keep it in stock as a refurbished or new surplus stock part.
The 0-56921-401AA is a regulator printed circuit board. Two total regulator boards are used on GV3000 drives. This board is typically considered to be the lower horsepower version. There are few differences between the high HP and low HP versions of regulators. The main difference is the position and types of power unit interface connectors that are used. This board uses a 26-pin ribbon cable connected on the right side of the board and the high HP version uses a 60-pin ribbon cable connected on the top of the board.
This board is mounted behind the membrane switch keypad using a standard mounting bracket. This board is connected to the power unit interface PCB. The board should be mounted with the terminal strip showing on the bottom and the 7-segment LED display showing on the keypad display window. This LED displays error data, drive parameters and the parameter values for the drive. This card provides the snubber resistor braking signal when an optional kit is used. The J8 connector on the regulator card is actually an RS-232 serial communications port. This port allows the regulator to talk to external components.
