Manufactured by Reliance Electric for the GV3000 series, the 0-56936-103AA model is labeled as an option board. This model is a ControlNet Network Communication Option Board. When the model is being used within the system, it can monitor and operate the chosen GV3000/SE drive over the ControlNet network. During the standard operation of the GV3000 drive, it can be completely controlled using the Network Option board. The only connections required are a hardwired emergency stop, three-phase input and output power wiring, and a network interface connection. Any start, reset, store, and fault codes, plus control of the drive, can be performed over the ControlNet network.
The purpose of the 0-56936-103AA model is to mount within the GV3000 drives and connect to the unit's regulator board through a ribbon cable. All power needed to operate the board will come from the drive's power supply. This board will also add flash memory to the drive and can aid with easy updates of the board to the latest firmware revisions without needing to remove the board from the drive. The 0-56936-103AA board also has an RS-232C serial port allowing the user to connect a serial programming device to the Network option board for updating the flash memory on the board.
