About the 150ET4060
A somewhat lesser-known model stemming off of Reliance Electrics' quality GV3000 series of legacy drive; this specific bookshelf model is considered a legacy model, having possible been manufactured by a number of companies following the original creator Reliance Electrics' eventual discontinuation of the GV3000 series in 2009. Some companies outside of Reliance Electric that have put out GV3000 legacy models like this one include Baldor Electric, ABB, and of course the industry giant Rockwell Automation. The 150ET4060 model of drive differs from its sister model, the 150ER4060, in that it comes equipped with a CE filter, while the 150ER4060 model has no such filter. Both this 150ET4060 model and its sister drive have relatively limited market availability, but we at AXcontrol make every effort possible to keep this model in stock for both repair and replacement. This specific drive has a standard lead repair time of one to two weeks, and is covered by our two-year guaranteed warranty.
Hardware Tips and Specifications
The 150ET4060 model of GV3000 drive is a bookshelf drive with a CE filter. This drive, weighing in at a relatively hefty 12 pounds, is equipped with a NEMA 12, NEMA 4x, or IP20-type enclosure and requires four inches or 100mm of clearance above and below the drive. The maximum wire size for the 150ET4060 model can be stated as 12 AWG. The input voltage of this particular drive is relatively high at the standard 380-460 VAC range, and the Hz rating of the drive is 60Hz.
Components
This drive features a number of unique components that contribute to the proper function of the drive. Standard to most GV3000 series 150HP drives the 150ER4060 drive comes equipped with:
- a regulator printed circuit board
- a power module interface circuit board
- a gate driver pritned circuit board, not found in lower-voltage models
- right and left bus clamp printed circuit boards
- an intelligent power module printed circuit board
- a thyristor precharge module
- a DC bus fuse
- a current transformer
- a ground fault transformer
- an output reactor
- a bus discharge resistor
- a fan
- a built-in display keypad
- a thyristor firing pulse printedd circuit board
- and a CE filter
Locations and descriptions for each of these specific components are described in more detail in Reliance Electrics' own GV3000/SE AC Drive Hardware Reference Version 6.06, available online here at AXcontrol.com.
Software Tips and Specifications
It is worth mentioning that the 150ET4060 has a tri-parameter system which includes configurable parameters, tunable parameters, and read-only parameters as well. For detailed information on how to decipher and program the parameters of the 150ET4060 drive, please refer to instruction manual D2-3426 & D2-3427.
Like other drives in the GV3000 series, the 150ET4060 may encounter certain faults in installation and use. One relatively common fault that afflicts owners of the 150ET4060 drive is an earth current failure, which would be represented on the drive interface as EC. This drive fault is caused by an unintentional grounding of the output, and the corrective action deemed necessary to fix this fault would be to check for proper isolation between 150ET4060’s output and ground terminals. If the issue is not there, check for possible leakage or sensor defects, and ensure the drive has the necessary four inches of clearance above and below.
Compatibilities
Much like its closely related counterpart in the 150ER4060 model of Reliance Electric GV3000 series drive, the 150ET4060 bookshelf drive comes standard with a 6.0 regulator version; compatible for use with a 6.0 version regulator board. This model, at an elevated 50 HP, requires concurrent use of several specific types of PCB, including:
