About the 20V2160
The 20V2160 was a 20HP GV3000/SE AC drive designed by Reliance Electric. Depending on its production years, this drive could have also been sold by ABB or Baldor Reliance.
The 20V2160 is a PWM (pulse-width-modulation) drive that can allow the user to choose between using vector regulation and the standard general-purpose (V/Hz) regulation. A benefit of making this switch is being able to maintain a 1-minute burst of output current that is 150% above normal. This drive is 200-230 VAC 29.8 KVA and has a power loss of 600 watts. It also has a max input of 75A and a maximum output of 69.6A. This drive uses a 125A rated AC type fuse.
The 20V2160 is protected by a NEMA 1 rated enclosure. This means that the enclosure is vented and has a small door on the front where the user has the ability to access an RS-232 communications port without needing to remove the enclosure cover. A cable can be run from this port to a PC. This enclosure is not meant for outdoor usage. This enclosure and drive weighs roughly 15.9 kg and is 288 mm wide, 463 mm tall, and 238 mm deep.
The 20V2160 has the ability to be panel mounted vertically to a flat surface using 4 factory drilled holes on the back of the drive. It is important to maintain a flat mounting surface. To do this, a user can use bolts and washers to firmly secure the drive to the panel. The size of bolts needed to mount this drive is size M8 or M10 (5/16” or 3/8”).
