Product Description

Equipped with an option board connector, the GV3000/SE AC Bookshelf Drive from Reliance Electric, model 240ER4060l,  uses the option board connector to help communicate and attach more option boards, some of which are as follows:

  • An RMI Board

  • A DeviceNet Option Board

  • Other Similar Boards to the GV3000/SE Five

  • AutoMax Network Option Board

These boards are optional and can be used to help with the communication of parallel bus connections and communication between other devices within Reliance Electric.

Input line branch circuit fuses are used on the 240ER4060 drive to ensure the protection of the attached input power lines. The nominal and maximum external fuses used for the defense are a nominal value of forty amperes and a maximum value of fifty amperes. This model does not have a choke but an alternate current input of thirty-one amperes. Please note that the circuits as mentioned earlier, currents, or fuses are the only line branches needed and no other load can be applied to the fuse circuit, or faults/errors can occur during the operation.

A terminal strip is available on the 240ER4060 model which can provide several different connections to customer input/output (I/O) devices; the terminals used for customer I/O devices are status relay connections at terminals 28-31, snubber resistor braking control connections at terminals 26-27, twenty-four volts of direct current inputs connections at terminals 16-25, analog torque/speed reference connections at terminals 12-15, analog output connections at terminals 10-11, encoder connections at terminal 4-9, and finally RS232 connections at terminals 1-3. All information regarding how these terminals and their associated connection work can be found in the GV3000/SE AC Drive, Hardware Reference, Installation, and Troubleshooting Instruction Guide D2-3360-5 which will be attached above.

Frequently Asked Questions about 240ER4060

What are the input and output amps on 240ER4060?
240ER4060 has 31 input amps. 240ER4060 has 24 output amps when operating at 2 kHz carrier frequency with V/Hz regulation, which is the default for 240ER4060. When 240ER4060 is operating at 4 kHz, 240ER4060 has 16.5 output amps. When 240ER4060 operates at 8 kHz, 240ER4060 has 12.6 output amps. For output amps when 240ER4060 is at vector regulation, view table 2.1 in the hardware manual for 240ER4060 - Manual D2-3427.
What does the regulator board on 240ER4060 do?
The regulator board on 240ER4060 provides PWM gating signals to the IGBT power devices. The regulator on 240ER4060 sends these signals based on the output of the control loop and through the current feedback section of the power board on 240ER4060 to the isolated gate drivers. The drivers on 240ER4060 then switch the IGBTs and 240ER4060 produces a PWM waveform that corresponds to the speed or frequency reference on 240ER4060. The regulator board for 240ER4060 has several components that can be seen in figure 2.6 of the hardware manual for 240ER4060 - Manual D2-3427.
What is the input KVA on 240ER4060?
The input KVA for 240ER4060 is 24.7.
What are the manuals for 240ER4060?
There are two specific manuals for 240ER4060. Manual D2-3426 is the software manual for 240ER4060. Manual D2-3427 is the hardware manual for 240ER4060. Each manual is very helpful with procedures on 240ER4060. For a copy of either manual, send us a request for Manual D2-3426 or Manual D2-3427.
