About the 25H2160
The 25H2160 is a 25 HP GV3000/SE Sensorless Enhanced Drive that was originally created by Reliance Electric. Asea Brown Boveri and/or Baldor Reliance also may have mass-produced this series of drives at some point, but Reliance has since stopped supporting this series. Although the 25H2160 has become hard to find now, AX Control still makes every attempt to keep it in stock.
The 25H2160 is 25 HP and 29.8 KVA. It has an AC input capacity of 200-230 VAC, 75 max amps, and is 60 Hz. It has an AC output of 180-230 VAC and a max amps of 75. It has a short circuit rating of 30 kiloamps.
The 25H2160 is protected by a NEMA 1 type enclosure. It is suited for indoor applications only and will protect it from access to hazardous parts and solid falling objects. It should not be exposed to dust, water/condensation, oil and coolant, flammable or corrosive materials. There is a small flap on the drive’s faceplate that can be used to access an RS-232 port.
Even careful owners of the 25H2160 drive may experience the occasional function fault not uncommon to refurbished and reclaimed automated drives such as those in the GV3000 series. One common fault that the 25H2160 owner may encounter is the motor overload fault, which is indicated by the "OL" code on the drives' built-in keypad display. This fault is caused by a either a loss of phase connection, an excess motor current, or an excess load on the motor. If the fault is determined to be an excess motor current, corrective action would be tochekc the size of the power module and reduce the load on the motor, as well as to check the drives' torque boost and motor rated nameplate amps. If the fault has not been rectified through this series of checks, reasurrance of the drives' motor output line connections may be needed. For more information on potential faults and corrective actions for the 25H2160 drive, please reference manual D2-3372.
On the faceplate of the 25H2160 is a user interface that has a 7-segment 4-digit LED display, 14 LED indicators, and 9 keys. The 14 LED indicators are labeled as Password, Torque, Speed, Volts, Kw, Hz, Amps, Program, Running, Reverse, Forward, Remote, Auto, and Jog. The nine keys are labeled Stop/Reset, Auto/Man, Enter, Forward/Reverse, Start, Program, Run/Jog, and there are two up/down arrow keys. There are brackets on the back and bottom of the drive that can be used to secure it to its mounting surface.
